Mr. Tice is a son of a patriotic house whose ancestors came to America fromTyrol, Austria, in 1620. There were three brothers, whose names were John, Henryand Joseph. The name was originally spelled Teiss, and the family of that namegave the name to the river Teiss, which flows through Austria-Hungary. Early-members of the family in this country were firm supporters and defenders of theDeclaration of Independence and of the forms of government established by our.
