Thisarrangement also limitsthe deposition to the box is immersed inthe copper electrotypingsolution, in wliich it maybe left until the depositof metal has increased toa thickness at which it may be backed up with copper, or it is left until it reaches thefull thickness, which is about ,^ of an m6h. It is then fittedin line, set, position, and height. The minutest imperfection orblemish is reproduced by the deposition, and the type cast fromsuch a matrix is a perfect counterpart of the original.
