This fungus is a true saprophyte and is never found on living fruits or vegetables. Mouldy food substances are quite universally rejected as being unfit for human consumption. {Tinea versicolor) which is quite common in tropical as well as in temperate climates. 4. Microsporaides minutissimus. Causes a skin disease known as Erythrasma or Dhobie's itch. Found in the tropics. 5. Trichosporum giganteum. Causes a disease of the hair.
