CARIBBEAN SEA (Sept. 19, 2017) The dock landing ship USS Oak Hill (LSD 51), the dry cargo and ammunition ship USNS William McLean (T-AKE 12), the amphibious assault USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) and USS Wasp (LHD 1), and aviation logistics container ship SS Wright (T-AVB 3) transit the Caribbean Sea. The Department of Defense is supporting Federal Emergency Management Agency, the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
