A gilt copper beaker, Herrengrund, 18th century Small, partially gilt tumbler. The exterior with finely punched snakeskin décor, both sides with an inscribed cartouche "Hart eisen ich vor war in wasser hell und klar - macht mich in wenig stund zu kupfer in herrengrund" (Hard iron I was but water light and clear soon made me copper in Herrengrund).
