NORFOLK, Va. (June 12, 2018) -- Senior Chief Aviation Electronics Technician Phillip Sawicki, from Niagara Falls, New York, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford's (CVN 78) aviation intermediate maintenance department, receives his frocking letter from Capt. Richard McCormack, Ford's commanding officer, and Command Master Chief Laura Nunley, Ford's command master chief, during a senior chief petty officer pinning ceremony in the ship's hangar bay. Ford had 14 chief petty officers selected to the rank of senior chief petty officer.
