A galvanizing shop isoperated for hot or cold work andwhere anything can be galvanized froma tack to a 12-inch pipe. The accompanying photographic viewsgive a fair idea of the magnitude of theplant. The Havemeyer bar, which is feat-ured by this company, has been de-signed to meet the reeiuirenicnts ofbond, and at the same time the im-portant economical requirement that inthe deformation no strength or metalis wasted. The deformations of the Mavemeyerbar are designed so that a constantcross-sectional area is maintained. Thesquare bar has a series of projectionsand depressions in conjunction with the plain square section of the bar, theprojections on the sides equaling thedepressions on the corners. The roundbar has projections staggered on alter-nate faces, giving the same result, andno metal is wasted to secure thestronge
