The Headington Shark is a rooftop sculpture in the New High Street of Headington, Oxford, England. This surreal public artwork depicts an oversized shark embedded head-first in the roof of a house. Since the shark first landed there in 1986, this has become the most famous residence in Oxford. Created by sculptor John Buckley, the shark was controversial when it first appeared, but is now much-loved. It is entitled 'Untitled 1986'.
