At tiiis point the boat stopped at the Chain of Rocks and all on board in- spected the City Nursery, guided by Superintendent Strehle and John Mor- itz. After the group had been photo- graphed by A. B. Mclntyre, of the Missouri Botanical Garden, the return trip was started and the meeting re- sumed. The election of officers for the next year resulted in the reflection of the old officers, who were: President, Jules Bourdet; vice-president, August Hum- mert; secretary, J. J. Windier; treas- urer, W. C. Smith; trustee for three years, W. A. Rowe. J. F. Ammann, of Edwardsville, 111., was present and responded to a request for a talk by dealing interestingly with club matters. The meeting then ad- journed. The next regular meeting will be held September 20, instead of September 13. The invitation of Edwin Denker to hold the meeting at his place in St. Charles was accepted.
