I Ching symbols on the traditional hat of a Chinese child. The central circle - the Tai Chi - represents the continual interchange between the cosmic dualities of the light Yang and the Dark Ying. The eight linear diagrams are the Pa Kwa, or eight trigrams. The spirals are regarded as symbols of cosmic energies.
