Corbar Cross
Corbar Cross is a familiar landmarks on the Buxton skyline. It is situated high above woodlands that were planted to disguise sandstone quarry workings made when Buxton's important early architecture was being set out. On a clear day the views across the surrounding countryside are superb. Corbar Cross was given to the Roman Catholic Church by the Duke of Devonshire in 1950, to commemorate Holy Year.
