Chapter house, Cleeve Abbey, Somerset, 1999. Cleeve Abbey was founded as a Cistercian monastery in 1198 and many of the surviving buildings date from the 13th century. The brothers met daily in the chapter house, with its low vaulted ceiling, to discuss business.
