Members of the Armed Forces inaugural Committee (AFIC) participate in a large scale map exercise at tje DC Armory in Washington, , Dec. 18, 2008. AFIC carries on a tradition, which dates back more than 200 years, of honoring the new commander in chief and recognizing civilian control of the military.
