Later on, while at Yale, where he gradu-ated in 1900, this impulse found an outlet in thepages of the college journal, Yale Record, tothe illustration of which he contributed variousdrawings. It was not, however, till after the lapseof some three or four years, when the irksomenessof the commercial career which in deference toparental wishes he pursued for a time proved in-tolerable, that he definitely gave himself up to. i.\ HERMAN \.
