Stock is coming in quantities sufficient for the demand. Gladioli are abundant and all the popular varieties are available. Asters also are plentiful, and gaillardias and bachelor's buttons are popular. Roses are good now and lately there has been a demand for American Beauties, which sell at fair prices. Boston ferns have been abundant and met a good call. The weather, hot and dry, has had its effect on outdoor stock, much of which was lost by the growers. Various Notes. Local growers are busy getting their stock ready for fall business. The Sunshine Florists' store is being redecorated and will present a fine ap- pearance when the work is finished. This store does an excellent business. Funeral work has been heavy there this summer. The greenhouses recently constructed by Carl Rosange and John Lindberg are producing some fine stock. Excellent sweet peas were cut there this summer. They have another house
