Statue of Abraham Lincoln Manchester


An infrared shot of an imposing if slightly incongruous statue of Abraham Lincoln amid the City Centre office blocks. This statue was given to the city in 1919 in recognition of the support that Lincoln received from the citizens of in his campaign against slavery. It was moved into the City Centre for the first time in 1986, from its original location in Platt Fields Park. Shot on a modified Nikon D50 using a custom white balance.
