Shops and business in the loyalist and unionist area of Sandy Row in south Belfast, Northern Ireland, where people see themselves as British

Press Eye - Belfast - Northern Ireland - 28th January 2021 A woman walks her dog past a Loyalist Banner on Sandy Row in south Belfast. Anti-Irish sea border graffiti appears in Loyalist areas of south Belfast including the Donegal Road and Sandy Row. As a result of BREXIT and the UK leaving the European Union a border was put down the Irish Sea with customs put in place between Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. This has affected and delayed trade between the two jurisdictions. Some in Loyalist areas of Northern Ireland see this as a weakening of the union between Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
