ARABIAN GULF (, 2016) Petty Officer 3rd Class Kevin Foy from Wilmington, Mass., preforms preventative maintenance on the gas turbine engine aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey (CG 61). Foy serves Monterey as gas turbine systems technician (electrical) and is primarily responsible for maintaining support systems on the gas turbine engine. Monterey, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the 5th Fleet area of operations.
