Uponopening several of the former, I found that thesingle females in them always repaired thedamage by carrying the moss backwards. Wasps are exceedingly interesting creatures tostudy. They visit my beehive in search of anyunconsidered trifle they can pick up, and it doesnot appear to matter whether they find thenewly thrown out body of a drone or a memberof their own species, it is cut up and carried awayto their nests for the benefit of the voracious larvae.
