Timau, Carnic Alps, Italy. In the Timau ossuary there are the remains of numerous soldiers dead on the Carnian front during the first world war. They are 1763 fallen, 298 unknown Italians plus 65 Austro-Hungarians coming from small mountain cemeteries. The ossuary was built between 1936 and 1939 at the behest of the priest Don Titta Bulfon.
