Molecular model of rat megalin (low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 2), a giant transmembrane glycoprotein mediating the endocytosis of more than 60 ligands, including those of proteins, peptides, and drug compounds. It is found in the plasma membrane of many absorptive epithelial cells and has structural similarities to the low density lipoprotein receptor (LDLR).
