HONG KONG (April 9, 2017) Chief Warrant Officer Keith Challet, Combat Cargo Officer aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8) explains the M777 Howitzer to members of the Boy Scouts Association in Hong Kong during a ship tour as part of a scheduled port visit. Makin Island, with the embarked 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is in Hong Kong to experience the city's rich culture and history as part of ongoing operations in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
