The committee appointed to make the necessary arrange-ments for a meeting of the officers of the late Army of theCumberland, called for February 6, 1868, at Cincinnati, wouldrespectfully submit the following report: In the early part of the month of December, 1867, the fol-lowing address was issued from Louisville by the officers whosenames are attached: To the Officers of the late Army of the Cwynherlancl—GENTLEMEN: Having been addressed by many of ourformer comrades from all portions of the country, in relation to theformation of an organization to be known as the Society of theArmy of the Cumberland, we have finally deemed it best to issuea circular, suggesting that immediate action be taken for thespeedy consummation of this most honorable and desirable project.
