It is ornamented by irregular oblique rows of elongate tubercles that varyin size and follow the growth striae. Posteriorly these tubercles are continuouswith the growth rugae of the area. There is a very narrow lunule, about 40 percent of the shell height. The ligament pit is moderately developed, lanceolate,and about 40 per cent of the length of the escutcheon.
