Proboscis present; palpi upturned, reaching vertex of head; antenna of male bipectinate with moderate branches, of female with the medial part of shaft dilated and fringed with scales above ; tibiae with the spurs short; abdomen with the 2nd and 3rd segaients slightly constricted, the terminal segments with lateral tufts; anal tufts large. Fore wing with vein 3 from well before angle of cell; 5 from well above angle ; 7, 8, D, 10 stalked ; 11 from cell. Hind wing with vein 2 from towards angle of cell; 3 and 5 from angle ; 4 absent; 6, 7 from upper angle. A. Abdomen with opalescent bands on constricted segments, opalocincta. B. Abdomen with dorsal blue bands brodea. *820. Urolasia opalocincta. (Plate XII. fig. 15.) Urolasia opalocincta, Druce, A. M. N. H. (7) i. p. 404 (1898). S. Head, thorax, and abdomen black ; frons, gulae, patches on tegulse, patagia, coxae, and back of pectus metallic blue ; abdomen with lateral opalescent bands on constricted segments, almost meeting on dorsum, and silvery white ventral fascia ; sublateral silver}' spots on 5th and 6th segments. Fore wing hyaline, the veins, and mar- gins rather broadly, black ; a blue point at base ; a discoidal black bar conjoined to costa, the terminal band expanding widelj' at tornus, black streaks in interspaces of terminal area. Hind wing hyaline, the veins black ; a terminal band wide at costa, narrowing to a point before tornus. Hab. Cayenne, 1 d , 1 $ type f in Mus. Oxon. Exp. 40 millim. *821.
