Berkeley, Gloucestershire, England, UK: alabaster effigies of James, 11th Lord Berkeley (d. 1463) & his 2nd son James (or grandson Thomas) in the Berkeley family mortuary chapel south of the chancel in the Minster Church of St Mary the Virgin. Plate armour covered by a tabard with the Berkeley arms of crosses patée. Heads rest on tilted helms. Llong straight hair, throat protected by a gorget with a Yorkist white rose collar below. A mail skirt protrudes from the bottom of the tabard & thigh armour (cuisses) is decorated with chevrons. Sword (R) & dagger (L): a misericord(e) for dispatching a wounded enemy. Restored hands at prayer wearing gauntlets.
