Proximally the phalanges are longer, slenderer and slightly flatter than those of Platecarpus but the ends were similarly terminated in cartilage. The more distal phalanges are relatively quite broad and flat. The phalangeal formula probably varies between 5-7-9-10-11 and 5-8-8-9-9.
