3 WASHINGTON (Jun. 06, 2017) Lt. Cmdr. Joseph Miller is greeted by US Senator (Iowa) Joni Ernst at the 2017 Navy Legislative Affairs' Battle of Midway Ceremony. The ceremony was held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway which was the turning point of the United States' victory over Japan in the Pacific theater, and allowed the and the Allied Forces to concentrate their efforts to defeat Germany in Europe and end World War II.
