Cosham,Hampshire Saturday 26 September 2015 GV Showing Cosham High Street An OAP man was been attacked. Police have sealed off the High Street and the Pub after an incident that happened about 4pm this afternoon (Saturday) Hampshire Police have Said " We're investigating a serious assault which happened around 4pm this afternoon (Saturday, September 26) in High Street, Cosham." A 67-year-old man sustained serious injuries and is being treated at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham. A 25-year-old man from Portsmouth has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Det Sgt Rob Faricy said: “This is an isolated incident which occurred on a busy high street on a Saturday afternoon. “We have spoken to a number of people who saw what happened but would appeal to anyone else who has not yet come forward to get in touch.”
