Lowry Theatre and Gallery at Salford Quays

The Lowry Arts Centre is named after LS Lowry, a Manchester artist famous for industrial landscapes with characteristic matchstick men. The centre includes a gallery which holds a permanent collection of his work, and hosts many other changing art exhibitions by national and international artists. There is also a theatre and auditorium. The centre is beautifully placed by the Manchester Ship Canal.
