In the following table weshow the percentage of the sown area which is insured, distinguishing amongthe various kinds of INFORMATION RELATING TO [NSURANCE AND THRIFT Having regard to the total area insured, which is. as we haw said andas appears in the above table, 5,597,646 hectares, it can be deduced that thearea planted with wheat represents per cent, of the total insured area,that planted with oats 12 per cent., that planted with flax 6 per cent., andthat under various crops per cent., as follows : Wheat 4,563,734 hectares per cent Oats . 669,414 hectares 12 per cent.
