POLLWORTH CO., Milwaukee, Wis. CIiEVELAND. The Market. Last week's frost had its effect on this market; all stock is cleaning up better than for several weeks. Mums are still plentiful and of much better grade. Some extra fancies in Bonnaffons, Enguehards and other late varieties are to be seen. Eoses are de- creasing somewhat in quantity. Most growers pinch their Killarneys back at this time, so as to bring a heavier Christmas crop. Carnations are getting better day by day and ;khere are just about enough of them to go around. Various Notes. J. J. Karins, of Henry A. Dreer's, Philadelphia, made the rounds of the growers last week. Mr. Dysinger, of the Ionia Pottery Co., called on the trade. T. Smith, of Smith & Fetters, led a , party of fourteen of the faithful to a ' clam bake November 2. The clams were poor, the chicken and lobster fine, and the class of entertainment was of the best. Harry Balsley, of the Detroit Flower Pot Manufactory, was a recent visitor. How about a Florists' Club dance, right after Thanksgiving! F. A. F. Fred Aul, of 537 East One Hundred and Fifth street, was seriously injured recently when the wagon in which he was driving was struck by a street car. The wagon was partly demolished and Mr. Aul was thrown to the pavement. He v^as taken to Glenville hospital, where the
