The building is an airy club house with plenty of verandaspace and resting places for the people from Kansas and theirfriends. The structure fronts upon a plaza bright with flowersand foliage during the Exposition season. 39 All of the material used in the construction was broughtfrom Kansas, native cement being liberally applied to thewalls, thus giving to the building a substantial appearance. The style of architecture being different from other build-ings in the neighborhood of States, the thought of varietyis consistently carried KANSAS STATE BUILDING. Missouris Building on the Plateau of States is the mostnorthern of the group and occupies a triangular plot ofground where the main boulevard divides. It is south of theUnited States Government Building. Its dimensions are 312by 160 feet and the approximate cost was $125,000. The Roman type of architecture predominates, mingledwith purely American features.
