People walk through the memorial site of those killed on on October 7th, Hamas surprise attack. On October 7th, 2023 the Palestinian Islamist militant group Hamas led a surprise attack on Israel, killing an estimated 1200 Israelis and taking more than 200 hostages. An estimated 360 young men and woman who attended the Nova music festival were killed during the attacks. The site of the festival has now become a memorial site to those who were killed and taken as hostages.
