The former German submarine UB 148 at sea, after surrendering to the Allies. A small coastal submarine, constructed 1917 - 1918 at Bremen, Germany, she never commissioned in the Imperial German Navy. Following the armistice of November 11 ending hostilities, UB-148 surrendered to the British at Harwich, England.
