Laughing Buddha at Lingyin Temple, Hangzhou


The Laughing Buddha is a famous sight of the city of Hangzhou in Eastern China. It sits near Lingyin Temple at the foot of a l200 metre-tall limestone mountain named Feilaifeng, or the Peak Flown From Afar. The caves of the mountain shelter about 330 stone statues dating from the 10th to the 14th centuries, the most famous of which is the Laughing Buddha.
