Gillmore, and have his name rejected byyour body. Gen. Gillmore may be a very good engineer officer, but he iswholly useless in the movement of troops. He has been behind in everymovement. He has lost twenty-four hours here in putting his line in astate of defense; but, above all, he has refused to move when ordered. Idirected him to co-operate in a movement with Gen. Smith when he went tomake demonstration on the Petersbure Railroad, and he failed to do so. and.
