WATERS OFF THE COAST OF SAIPAN (Nov. 09, 2018) Fireman Cody Shue uses a grinder to remove excess material from a fuel line for repairs inside the hull maintenance technician shop of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Sailors and Marines from Ashland, assigned to Commander, Amphibious Squadron 11, are providing Department of Defense support to the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands’ civil and local officials as part of the FEMA-supported Typhoon Yutu recovery efforts.
