The Marines also traveled with the team to Belgium to assist them during the competition. More than 150 cadets from nine European Department of Defense schools competed at the day-long event. The competition areas were regulation drill, color guard and rifle and saber exhibition. The Sigonella JROTC placed second in the inspection category and fourth in the color guard category.
