Xear the Orchid House there is in the open gardena grand specimen of the giant orchid (GrammutopliyUiini spccio- TiuOrchidsu))i). This is the largest orchid in the world, flowering to a ^luiglit of seven feet above its crown of foliage. The giantcreeper (Monstera deliciosa) (Plate 386) will be seen upon thetrunk of a tree near the giant orchid.
