MEDITERRANEAN SEA (November 9, 2014) – The German navy Bremen-class frigate Niedersachsen (F 208) leads a formation of warships participating in exercise Mavi Balina. Exercise Mavi Balina is a biennial Turkish-led anti-submarine warfare maritime exercise involving NATO and regional forces in the eastern Mediterranean to improve interoperability and increase tactical proficiencies.
