160308-N-AH771-173 NAMSOS FJORD, Norway (March 8, 2016) Dutch Naval officers come aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) to meet with Cmdr. Michael R. Johnson, the commanding officer and Lt. Col. David Baas, the commander of troops for 2nd Assualt Amphibian Battalion. Fort McHenry is currently participating in Exercise Cold Response 2016, which is a biennial Norwegian invitational that tests militaries’ ability to operate in extreme cold weather conditions.
