Firefighters protest outside London Fire Brigade Head Quarters as Fire Authority members vote down proposed cuts which would see 520 fire fighters made redundant, 12 fire stations close and the removal of 18 fire engines in the capital. Among the speakers was Dave Lewis of the Sceaux Gardens tenants and residents association, who spoke of cuts to Peckham fire Station whose fire engines were first to attend the Lakanal House fire in 2009
