These two babies share a quick kiss. SIMIEN MOUNTAINS NATIONAL PARK, ETHIOPIA: MEET THE adulterous ancient gelada monkeys whose infidelities and ability to lie may explain why humans CHEAT. In one image, a 35-pound gelada monkey gave a toothy-grin as the herbivore flashed its four-inch long incisors. In another, a male gelada monkey sat alone on a rocky outcrop as it looked out over the Simien Mountains National Park. Photographer and professor, Ilya Raskin (64), from Manalapan, New Jersey, USA, captured these images in the 85 square-mile park located in Ethiopia. Ilya stood just three-foot away from, what are now, the last surviving species of ancient grazing primates. Researchers at the University of the Free State, in South Africa, discovered that gelada monkeys have the ability to cheat on their partners and lie about it. Males will suppress their mating cries and attack any onlookers who catch them in the act. It?s the first recorded instance of infidelity in the wild and the study suggests that the immoral human trait of deceit has its origins deep within the timeline of human evolution. / Ilya Raskin
