Shipping business in Easter lilies was excellent; the short- stemmed stock this year made for easier jiacking conditions and all of the lots carried through in fine order. Piaster advertising by the publicity board of the Seattle Florists' Associa- tion was carried in all four of the Seattle daily newspapers, a design supplied by Dr. Walter A. Moore being used. Smaller space than was used on previous holidays was taken, it being the opinion of the board members that the public needs less urging at Easter to make it buy flowers than on other holidays.
