Williams in a recent issue of the arrangement consists of a jib crane constructed, asshown in the accompanying sketch, by attaching a pieceof X 10-ft. timber to the A-frame collar, which willact as a center pintle, so that the timber can be swungaround in any position. Attach chain falls or block andtackle at any convenient point on the timber jib and heavyparts such as jack arms, sheaves, chains, etc., can behandled with ease. Parts can be lifted from the idler.
