C). $. spine shorter than head, feebly serrated behind ; first soft ray longest, as long as or a little longer than head. Adipose fin as long as deep or a little longer than deep, its base less than that of the rayed dorsal and measuring about half its distance from the latter. Anal 12-13, 8 or 9 rays branched. Pectoral spine f to f length of head, strongly serrated on inner side. Caudal deeply forked ; lobes long and pointed, outer.
