Cutting away at that time all old flowering wood will encourage a vigorous growth, which will give an abundance of flowers the following season. American Pillar. A single-flowering variety of great beauty. The flowers are of large size, 3 to 4 inches across, of a lovely shade of pink, with a clear white eye and cluster of yellow stamens.
