PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 9, 2022) Sailors monitor sonar from the main sonar room aboard Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65) during a joint bilateral anti-submarine exercise, part of Keen Sword Nov. 9 in the Philippine Sea. Keen Sword is a biennial, joint and bilateral field-training exercise involving military and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, designed to increase readiness and interoperability while strengthening the ironclad alliance.
