Attaining to womanhood, she was married in Ontario to WilliamAllen, a native there, and with him, in February, 1876, entered the LlnitedStates and came West to California. For a while Mr. Allen was a carpenterat Chico, but later he removed to Redding, where he died. Following death, his widow was married to Mr. Hinsberger; and by this secondmarriage she had two children: Emory Ralph, who is a moulder bv tradeand was in the government employ at Mare Island Navy Yard during thewar, but is now operating the home place: and Chester Rowell, a machinistin Fresno.
